About Me

Ever since I can remember, I’ve been a huge animal lover. It started with my pet newts, Sparky and Neuterberger (don’t ask). And it continued with Tiger Lily the cat, my first shelter rescue. Bosco and Byron, the Dachshund brothers, were next in line and lest we forget, Cotton, the fattest cat I have ever seen. Although I grew up with animals, it wasn’t until I moved out to California that I became heavily involved with rescue organizations. The first group I worked with was Beagles and Buddies in El Monte. After discovering them at a pet adoption fair, I fostered one of their animals—an eight-year-old beagle named Olive. She was such a sweetheart, but suffered from severe separation anxiety. After several months of working with her, she eventually calmed down and was able to find her forever home with a couple and another doggie playmate.

At the Sunday adoptionFor the past 2 years, I spent most of my free time working for Much Love Animal Rescue as a volunteer and Volunteer Coordinator. Since I moved to Laguna Beach, I’m searching for a new rescue to work with. In the meantime, I’ve been volunteering at the Laguna Canyon Animal Hospital, where the kind staff has been gracious enough to let me observe and lend a hand.

Bingo at the beach

The absolute love of my life is my dog, Bingo. He first came to Much Love Animal Rescue where I watched him attend adoption after adoption. After offering to foster him while his regular foster went on vacation, he ended up never leaving. He is a treasure and has taught me so much about loyalty, love and patience.
